The One Where I Turned A Page

Hey Folks, It’s June 19th and its National Reading Day in India. This day is celebrated in honour of Father of India's Library Movement - P.N Panicker. Across the globe, Reading Day is a celebration, just that it differs in dates. Speaking in general, have we lost the essence of reading ? I seldom see kids reading or ranting about their favorite books. Who are to blame? Technology, Parents or Society in general. I seriously don't know.  I'll take you to the time when I started reading and started loving books in the first place. I guess I was in my class third or fourth. We had library periods in our curriculum, for me and many other friends of mine, it was the period which we used to feel relaxed and the best time for all other extra-curricular activities. The extra-curricular at that time in my terminology was simply sitting and talking of anything under the sun except studies. As I was a social bee( but teachers called me a talkative brat), I was present at every table

Hey Folks, It was a hectic week around for me. Now you will be thinking why….right? Yes, I just started of a small online store for art and office supply and it requires hell lot of work. It gives me that vigor to read and therefore I shed lots of money to just lay hand on that beautiful hardcover (no, please don't say whatsoever the content is same). So when I had been to that sale, I saw a stack of my favourite author's books and the author was Cecelia Ahern . "PS I Love You" was probably first ever romantic read I have had in my life. Gerry and Holly were etched in my heart for a long time. After that I never really saw her books anywhere and online sites were also not so prevalent at that time.  I bought those books from the sale and stacked it

A "Healthy" Read

Hey Folks, I know for a fact that most of you will be social media freaks, if not, at least one or the other way socially connected. After the reel feature aired in Instagram, I got tired of the background music “And it went like”. Phew, it was so irritating to see one transformation after another . Okay guys, I get it, you have lost weight , cleared your pimples etc etc. Great work.  Even when all this was kinda okay...(not really) it was the captions that gave me chills …. It was bucket loads of nonsense of how they lost the weight( not everyone but I saw quiet a few of them). These might have worked for them but I wonder how people sustain in it for a long period of time. Now now, I am no expert in this area but yeah after devouring up Rujuta Diwekar’s Don’t Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight,  even the not so qualified layman will be able to identify what is crap and what is not. This book was a gift from my dear friend Anu. She probably gifted the same because of my relentless and b
